Post-Chillventa 2026: 3 Key Sourcing Questions from HVAC Insulation Buyers
24/10/2026
At Chillventa 2026, held from October 13-15 in Nuremberg, Germany, TPTECH connected with MEP contractors, HVAC distributors, and procurement professionals to discuss their insulation sourcing requirements.
Across these conversations, three questions came up repeatedly: OEM manufacturing capabilities, technical compliance documentation, and supply planning for the European market. For companies evaluating new HVAC insulation suppliers, these considerations are essential to product qualification and long-term procurement. Below, we address the key questions discussed with visitors at Hall 9, Booth 9-622.

1. Can TPTECH Support OEM and Toll Manufacturing at Scale?
For HVAC brands and distributors looking to expand their product portfolios, working with an established manufacturer can reduce the need for investment in additional production equipment.
TPTECH operates a 32,800 m² manufacturing facility in Vietnam, producing NBR-based elastomeric rubber and cross-linked polyolefin (XLPE) insulation. Beyond standard product supply, TPTECH offers OEM and toll manufacturing services based on customer specifications, order volumes, and branding requirements.
For pre-insulated copper pipe applications, our toll manufacturing model also allows partners to supply their own bare copper pipes for insulation processing, customized branding, and final packaging.
This approach enables manufacturers to expand their insulated pipe offerings without establishing separate insulation production lines. Product dimensions, insulation specifications, and processing arrangements are reviewed with each partner before production.
2. What Technical Documentation Is Available for Product Approval?
For MEP contractors and procurement teams, product selection requires more than thermal performance data. Fire classifications, material safety information, and supporting test reports are important when evaluating products against project specifications and local regulations.
TPTECH provides Technical Data Sheets (TDS), third-party test reports, and relevant certification documents to support supplier evaluations and project submittals.
TPFLEX Class 0: NBR Rubber Insulation
TPFLEX Class 0 is a closed-cell elastomeric insulation product designed for HVAC and refrigeration applications. Its published technical documentation includes:
- FM Approval: Approval Standard 4924
- Fire classification: UL 94 V-0
- Indoor air quality: GreenGuard Gold certification
- Environmental documentation: Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
These documents provide information on fire performance, material emissions, and environmental characteristics. Relevant documentation may also support material assessments for green building projects, depending on the requirements of the applicable certification scheme.

TPFLEX ACF: Aluminum-Foil-Faced XLPE Insulation
TPFLEX ACF is a cross-linked polyolefin insulation product with an aluminum foil facing, developed for HVAC insulation applications. Its published fire performance classifications include:
- EN 13501-1: B-s1, d0
- ASTM E84: Class A
- BS 476 Parts 6 & 7: Class 0
These classifications provide references for evaluating fire and smoke performance under different testing systems. For project approvals, buyers can request the applicable test reports and confirm their relevance to the selected product configuration and local requirements.
3. How Does TPTECH Support European Sourcing Requirements?
For European buyers, qualifying an overseas insulation manufacturer involves both technical documentation and practical supply considerations.
TPTECH provides supporting documentation for applicable product lines, including EN 13501-1 fire classification reports and information related to REACH and RoHS II requirements. Our export engineering team can assist buyers in identifying the relevant documents for specific product grades and project applications.
Production Capacity and Export Planning
With an annual production capacity of up to 3,000 containers, TPTECH supports international distributors and project suppliers with production and shipment planning.
Depending on the order requirements, our team can coordinate:
- Production volumes and scheduling
- Product dimensions and packaging specifications
- Lead-time planning and shipping arrangements
- CIF quotations for specified destination ports
- Physical samples and technical documentation for product evaluation
These discussions help buyers assess manufacturing capabilities, confirm supply requirements, and establish delivery expectations before placing orders.
